Canadian Citizenship by Investment Program
Canada has a history of obtaining residency through investment programs at both the federal and provincial levels. Suspended in 2021 and currently not accepting new applications, the Quebec Investor Program is a popular program that allows high net worth individuals to obtain permanent residency in Quebec in exchange for a minimum investment of $1.2 million over five years. Other provinces, such as British Columbia and Ontario, have their own Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) that allow foreigners to gain Canadian permanent residency by investing in a business or creating jobs in those provinces. At present, the most attractive project with the lowest investment standards is the Canadian SUV.
