Château Frontenac
Chateau Frontenac, also known as the Fontena Castle Hotel, is located in Quebec City, Canada, on the north bank of the St. Lawrence River, is one of a series of castle hotels built by the Canadian Pacific Railway Company in the late 19th century to recruit LAI tourists. Fontina Castle was designed by architect Bruce Pyles and built in 1893. The Fontina Castle Hotel's sister hotels include the Castle Castle in Rissey, Quebec, the Banff Springs Hotel in Alberta, and the Castle Hotel in Lake Louise. The Chateau de Fontina is now an important landmark of the World Heritage City of Quebec, standing tall on the banks of the St. Lawrence River and attracting tourists all year round.
