NSW health minister flags critical quarantine and testing combo for combating COVID-19
21/10/2020
Health Minister Brad Hazzard has announced New South Wales “continues to do extremely well” with only two new cases of locally transmitted COVID-19 cases overnight and eight new cases in hotel quarantine. “I think that does indicate the level of challenge we have at the moment with people who are coming in from overseas and the proportion of people who are actually having positive outcomes,” he said. “It really emphasises yet again just how important our decision around our structure, our hotel quarantine system was and is and will be going forward." Mr Hazzard called on the public to come forward for testing even if they are experiencing very mild symptoms. “For us to continue opening up our state, our community needs to be with us on this journey in a very serious way," he said.
