This Business Talent (Permanent) Visa (Subclass 132)
allows you to stay in Australia on a permanent basis and includes the following streams:
Significant Business History Stream is for business owners or part owners who want to have a major management role in a new or existing business in Australia.
Venture Capital Entrepreneur Stream is for people who have sourced venture capital funding from a member of the Australian Investment Council (AIC) for the start-up, product commercialisation or business development of a promising high-value business idea.
It is currently the only immigration project that can "get a green card in one step" among Australian business visas.
Significant Business History Stream
This visa is for experienced business owners, to operate a new or existing business in Australia.
You must
1. The main applicant is under 55 years old; accompanying children are under 23 years old;
2. The personal and family net assets of the main applicant and his spouse are not less than 1.5 million Australian dollars;
3. In 2 of the past 4 fiscal years, the main applicant and his spouse held no less than 30% of the shares; if it is a listed company, the shareholding is no less than 10%;
4. In 2 of the past 4 fiscal years, the annual turnover of the company under the applicant's name is not less than 3 million Australian dollars;
5. In 2 of the past 4 fiscal years, the net assets of the company should not be less than 400,000 Australian dollars;
6. The main applicant should start business within 12 months of landing in Australia, and invest at least 1.5 million Australian dollars in Australia within 2 years (the investment requirements of different states are slightly different, subject to official data)
You must be nominated by an Australian state or territory government agency before being invited to apply for this visa.
If you are nominated for the visa, they will invite you to apply. All state and territory government agencies have their own criteria for deciding who they will nominate.
Venture Capital Entrepreneur Stream
This visa is for people who have sourced venture capital funding from a member of the Australian Investment Council (AIC) (formerly known as the Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association Limited (AVCAL)).
Applicant must
1. be nominated by an Australian state or territory government agency before being invited to apply for this visa;
2. Have an overall successful business career;
3. No English requirement;
4. Reach a legally enforceable agreement with members of the Australian Investment Council (AIC) to obtain at least A$1 million in venture capital to fund high-value business ideas, including Early business start; product commercialization; business development; business expansion.
