Development history
In 1815, with the opening of the steam mill, Darling Harbor developed into an industrial zone. Later, with the decline of the industry in Sydney Harbor Area, Darling Harbor became a desolate and dilapidated backwater. Until the 1980s, in order to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the colonization of Sydney and the founding of Australia (1988), as Australia's largest urban renewal plan, Darling Harbor was transformed into the center of the celebration. Thus, Darling Harbor today becomes an integral part of Sydney's urban center and a bright pearl of Australia. Sydney residents will go to Darling Harbor to celebrate on special festivals such as Christmas, New Year's Eve and National Day
