Royal Exhibition Hall
Australia's first buildings listed in the World Heritage List
The Royal Exhibition Building is located at the northeast edge of Melbourne, the capital of Victoria, and is located in Carlton Gardens with Melbourne Museum.
The Royal Exhibition Hall and Carlton Garden were included in the World Cultural Heritage List together by UNESCO in 2004. The reason for being on the list is that the Royal Exhibition Hall is the only existing exhibition hall in Australia in the 19th century and one of the few exhibition halls in the world in the 19th century.
The Royal Exhibition Hall was built in 1880, with antique and beautiful buildings. It was the venue for the World Exposition from 1880 to 1881. One of the purposes of the original design and construction was to connect the exhibition hall with Melbourne's history and culture. It is now often used as a place to hold trade exhibitions, exhibitions, cultural and community activities.
In 1880, Australia was already the most important exporter of wool and gold in the world, and entered a turning period from a British colony to a nation state politically. The 1880 Melbourne World Expo, under the deep brand of "Victoria", radiates the vitality of Australia's rapid development stage in the late 19th century. The Expo will cover industry, agriculture, manufacturing and art. The classic exhibition hall influences the contemporary.
The exhibition hall of the 1880 Melbourne World Expo is the Royal Exhibition Hall located in Caton Park. As we all know, there is no royal family in Australia. The "royal family" in the "Royal Exhibition Hall" refers to the Victorian royal family of Britain.
