Spain Golden Visa Application Process
1.Arrive in Spain and choose any real estate you are interested in.
2.Prepare to collect the required documents from the property owner.
3.View deposit agreement.
4.Obtain a Spanish tax number and open a bank account, the first 500,000 euros must be paid in cash, and the balance can be apply for mortgage.
5.Negotiate the terms of the contract and the timetable for the purchase deed in front of a notary.
6.Transfer the required investment amount to your Spanish bank account.
7.Acquire the property and register the purchase in the Land Registry Department.
8.Prepare and complete the tax declaration related to the purchase of a property and all tax obligations that should be complied with.
9.Prepare to submit the required documents for the Golden Visa application at the Spanish Consulate (1-year investor visa) or large commercial and strategic collective unit (2-year residence permit)
10.Complete the Golden Visa Program and initially apply for an investor visa for one year (completed within 10 working days). or two years for residence permit (completed within 20 working days).
11.Approve application
One-year investment visa: obtain an investment visa at the Spanish consulate; enter Spain and apply for a residence permit for 2 years within the validity period of the investment visa, and within 90 days after the expiration of the golden visa.
Residence permit for 2 years: arrange an appointment with the corresponding police station and apply for your foreigner ID card, which is usually issued 30 days after the date of application.
12.Renew the residence permit after 2 years for a period of 5 years;
13.If applicable, please apply for a long-term residence permit after living in Spain for 5 years (you cannot leave Spain for more than 10 months in total during these 5 years);
14.If applicable, please apply for Spanish citizenship after living in Spain for 10 years (in these 10 years, you cannot leave Spain for more than 12 months in total)
