Chinese embassy in Spain opens appointment quota for marriage registration in February 2023

According to the WeChat public account of the Chinese Embassy in Spain, the Chinese Embassy in Spain has opened the appointment quota for marriage registration in February 2023 on the "Chinese Consul" APP (hereinafter referred to as APP). Please log in to the APP to make an appointment for Chinese citizens who need marriage registration, and bring relevant materials to the consular section of the embassy for marriage registration during the appointment time.

Due to the needs of epidemic prevention and control, the number of open places is limited, please understand. In the future, the embassy will release the account in due course. Overseas Chinese who intend to register their marriage at the embassy are invited to pay attention to the official website and WeChat account of the Chinese embassy in Spain.

 Kind tips:

1. Only those who apply for marriage registration must make an appointment on the APP. For those who apply for divorce and reissue/divorce certificate business, please send an email to consuladochino@vip.163.com to make an appointment. Fill in the name)” or “Registration Application for Marriage Certificate—XXX, XXX (fill in the name at XXX)”. In any case, the applicant must hold a valid passport to apply.

2. Only those who have registered their marriage at the embassy can reissue a marriage certificate at the embassy. Only those who have registered their marriage at the embassy and both parties are of Chinese nationality can register their divorce at the embassy.

3. For applicants with one party having a Spanish residence permit and one party without a Spanish residence permit, please first submit the front and back photos of the passport and the front and back of the Chinese ID card of the non-resident party to consuladochino@vip.163.com for review. The subject of the email is "XXX married Registration without a residence permit" (fill in your name at XXX). Applicants who pass the materials can make an appointment on the APP. Please understand that applications without prior review and approval will not be accepted on site. Applicants who both hold valid Spanish residence permits do not need to send emails for confirmation, and can go directly to the site according to the appointment time.

4. If the applicant is temporarily unable to come due to emergency, please cancel the appointment in advance and reserve the quota for those in need. If the applicant fails to arrive at the appointment time, the appointment will be invalidated, and a new appointment must be made for the next registration.
