The International Zheng He Literature and History Museum was established in Malaysia
Xinhua News Agency, Kuala Lumpur, May 29th. The International Zheng He Museum of Literature and History, jointly established by the China Zheng He Research Association, the Malacca Historic District (Jonker Street) Working Committee and the Zheng He Duoyunxuan (Melaka) Art Museum, was held in Malaysia on the 29th. The ancient city of Malacca opened.
According to reports, the International Zheng He Museum of Literature and History has eight major themes, combining text pictures, sculptures, ship models, oil paintings and other media to reproduce the historical feats of Zheng He's voyages.
The exhibits in the museum include Zheng He's series of sculptures by Chinese artist Lin Chun, Wang Xinxun's 100-meter-long ink scroll "Zheng He's Voyages to the West", and the Malaysian Chinese Cultural Association, the Central Cultural Bureau of the Malaysian Chinese Association, and the Malaysia-China Friendship Association. Various historical materials, etc.
Ouyang Yujing, Chinese ambassador to Malaysia, said that the establishment of the Museum of Culture and History will promote the spread of Zheng He's spirit overseas and facilitate friendly exchanges between China and countries along the "Belt and Road".
Sun Zhiguo, vice president and secretary-general of the China Zheng He Research Association, said in a letter that the establishment of the International Zheng He Literature and History Museum originated from the 2018 International Zheng He Conference held in Malacca, and various relevant departments have carried out long-term preparations since then. The purpose of the Museum of Culture and History is to promote Zheng He's spirit of "harmony, peace and friendship" and to promote the related historical, archaeological and cultural research.
