New one-way permit and cancellation of domestic account
1. Scope of application
This guide is applicable to Mainland residents applying for travel permits to Hong Kong and Macao.
2. Basis for examination and approval
"Law of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of Exit and Entry" and "Interim Measures on the Administration of Chinese Citizens' Visits to Hong Kong or Macao for Private Affairs".
3. Acceptance agencies
Exit and Entry Administration departments of public security organs at or above the county level entrusted by the State Immigration Administration.
4. Application Conditions
Mainland residents who need to settle down in Hong Kong or Macao under any of the following circumstances may apply for a travel permit to Hong Kong and Macao:
(1) The mainland spouse of a person who has settled in Hong Kong or Macao and their accompanying children under the age of 18 need to go to Hong Kong or Macao for family reunion;
(2) A child of Chinese nationality born in the Mainland to a Chinese citizen who is a resident of Hong Kong or Macao, and at the time of his birth, both of his parents or one of them have obtained permanent resident status in Hong Kong or Macao according to law and need to settle down in Hong Kong or Macao;
(3) those who have not reached the age of 18 (including the date of their birthday) and need to take refuge with their parents who have settled in Hong Kong or Macao;
(4) Parents aged 18 or under 60 who have settled in Hong Kong or Macao and have no children in Hong Kong or Macao are all aged 60 or above and need to be taken care of;
(5) children over the age of 60 who have no children in the Mainland and need to take up residence in Hong Kong or Macao;
(6) Those who need to settle down in Hong Kong or Macao under special circumstances.
"Childless in Hong Kong or Macao" as mentioned in item (4) means a child who does not hold the status of permanent resident in Hong Kong or Macao, or who goes to settle in Hong Kong or Macao with the approval of the Exit and Entry Administration department of the public security organ. "No children in the Mainland" in item (5) means children who do not have permanent household registration in the Mainland.
5. Prohibitive requirements
If the applicant falls under the circumstances stipulated in Article 12 of the Law of the People's Republic of China on the Administration of Exit and Entry and Article 13 of the Interim Measures for the Administration of Chinese Citizens Travelling to and from Hong Kong or Macao for Personal Affairs, the permit or endorsement for travelling to and from Hong Kong and Macao shall not be approved.
