Foreigners apply the local Permanent ID Card

Acceptance conditions

Aliens applying for permanent residence in China shall abide by Chinese laws, be healthy, have no criminal record, and meet one of the following conditions:

（1） Direct investment in China, stable investment for three consecutive years and good tax record.

The registered capital actually paid for investment in China shall meet one of the following conditions:

1. The total investment in the encouraged industries in the catalogue for the guidance of foreign investment industries promulgated by the state is more than 500000 US dollars;

2. Invest at least or above 500000 US dollars in Western China and key counties of national poverty alleviation and development;

3. The total investment in Central China is more than US$1 million;

4. The total investment in China is more than US$2 million.

（2） Has served as deputy general manager, deputy factory director or above in China, or has associate senior titles such as associate professor and associate researcher and enjoys the same treatment. He has been in office for four consecutive years, has resided in China for a cumulative period of not less than 3 years in four years, and has a good tax record.

The employer shall meet one of the following conditions

1. Departments under the State Council or institutions affiliated to Provincial People's governments;

2. Key universities

3. Enterprises and institutions implementing national key engineering projects or major scientific research projects;

4. High tech enterprises, encouraged foreign-invested enterprises, foreign-invested advanced technology enterprises or foreign-invested product export enterprises.

（3） Foreigners who have made significant and outstanding contributions to China and have special needs of the state

（4） The spouses of the persons referred to in items (1), (2) and (3) and their unmarried children under the age of 18

（5） The spouse of a Chinese citizen or a foreigner who has obtained permanent residence status in China has a marriage relationship of five years, has resided in China for five consecutive years, has resided in China for not less than nine months each year, and has a stable life security and residence

（6）Unmarried foreign children under the age of 18 as a depending with their parents in mainland China

（7） He has no immediate family abroad, takes depending in his immediate family in China, is over 60 years old, has resided in China for five consecutive years, has resided in China for not less than 9 months every year, and has stable life security and residence

*Years refer to the consecutive years before the date of application

1. Application form for permanent residence of foreigners in China

2. Certificate of no criminal record abroad

3. Health certificate

4. Applicant's photo

5. A valid foreign passport or a certificate that can replace a passport

6. Supporting materials related to the matter of the application
