New rules for investment immigration and naturalization in Turkey introduced
With the revision of the Implementing Regulations of the Turkish Citizenship Law, the minimum purchase of real estate valued at US$250,000 to obtain Turkish citizenship has been raised to US$400,000.
According to the decision signed by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in the Official Gazette released today; the minimum threshold for naturalization of Turkish citizenship through the purchase of real estate of 250,000 USD has been increased to 400,000 USD. It is reported that the decision will take effect in one month.
Another revised regulation in the regulations stipulates that foreigners who enter the private pension system and contribute at least USD 500,000 or its equivalent in foreign currency and stay in the system for 3 years can also obtain Turkish citizenship. The decision is said to be effective today.
