Intanong Mountain National Park

It is located on the Yintanong Mountain. Its highest peak is 2565 meters above sea level, which is the highest mountain in Thailand. The park has beautiful scenery, luxuriant trees, blooming flowers and cool climate. It is the most famous national park in Thailand, which is full of jungle, various ferns, elephants and other wild animals. There are many wild animals in the park, including famous elephant camps and orchid farms, which are good places for outings.

Because Tanong Mountain is rich in species resources, including more than 400 kinds of birds, it is a holy land for biologists and bird lovers. There are many waterfalls in the mountain, among which Nam Tok Mae Klang, Nam Tok Wachiratan and Nam Tok Siriphum are the most famous. Nam Tok Mae Klang is the largest and easiest to reach. There are picnic places nearby (200 baht), and there are many tourists.

As Tanong Mountain has the best scenery from November to February of the next year, there are some terraces of mountain tribes on both sides of the mountain road.
