Scenic Point
Pamukkale
Pamukkale is located in the north of Denizli, Turkey. It is a well-known hot spring resort. There are not only natural hot springs for thousands of years, but also cotton-like hills formed by calcification. In Turkish, Pamuk means cotton, and Kale means castle, so Pamukkale is called Cotton Castle.
The white Pamukkale with mountains and water has been a hot spring resort since the Greek era. Legend has it that Cleopatra once took a hot spring here. The hot spring flows down from the top of the cave, washing the hillside into a ladder shape, and the spring water on the platform is accumulated into small ponds. Looking from the top down, one side of the hot spring platform is like a mirror, reflecting the blue sky and white clouds. Looking from the bottom up, it looks like a volcano that has just erupted. The white magma covers the entire hillside, which is quite spectacular. The unique scenery has attracted many photography enthusiasts from all over the world.
