Transportation: 1,040 km of roads (1996), of which 346 km all-weather designed road. There are 5300 cars and 2800 commercial vehicles (1991).
Waterway Traffic: There is a deep-water port in Kingston, cargo carriage was 20,000 tons (1991).
Air Traffic: There is an international airport (ETJOSHUA airport), passenger traffic to more than 50,000 people (1989).
Economic and Finance: In 2000, the external debt of $ 167 million, foreign exchange reserves of $ 55.2 million.
Foreign Trade:
Major imports are food, machinery, basic industrial products.
Major exports are bananas, vegetables and arrowroot flour.
The main trade partners are Britian, America and Caribbean countries.
Foreign aid: received aid of $ 47.5 million in 1995, of which Kuwait loan of US $ 7.7 million for the construction of tourism infrastructure. In 1998, EU provided US $ 34.5 million aid.
