Greece will establish a personal electronic health file, and you can receive medical examination reports and hospitalization certificates online at home
The Greek Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Digital Governance jointly announced on November 22 that the Greek Social Security E-Government Center (IDIKA) has entered the final stage of establishing personal electronic health records for citizens. Electronic certificates are issued, and medical examination results can also be queried online and certificates issued.
It is reported that the system is expected to be completed by the end of this year, after which Greek citizens will be able to sit at home and download all hospitalization or health examination certificates from Greek public and private hospitals and clinics through the government portal website gov.gr. Before the end of December, Greek citizens can also query and receive laboratory test results online, without having to return to the testing center to pick up paper documents.
According to the latest communiqué of the Greek government, the above-mentioned electronic services will be used as part of the establishment of patients' personal electronic health records. From December 20, Greek citizens can use the taxisnet username and password to log in to the government portal website gov.gr, for themselves or for their parents, Children and other immediate family members apply for and obtain the required health certificates. Data transmissions will be encrypted and copies of files will be kept in electronic form for at least 20 years.
