Completion Ceremony of China-assisted Gwadar Vocational and Technical School in Pakistan Held
Pakistan's “Dawn” newspaper reported on October 2, the China’s aid Pakistan’s Gwadar Vocational and Technical School held its completion ceremony on October 1. Ambassador Nong Rong delivered a video speech, Chairman of Gwadar Port Authority Kashani attended and delivered a speech, representatives of Chinese enterprises including China Harbour Engineering Co., LTD., East China Architectural Design & Research Institute Co., LTD., Shanghai Huajian Engineering & Construction Consulting Co., LTD., China Overseas Port Holdings Co., LTD., More than 150 people, including local representatives from Baluchistan and Gwadar, as well as representatives from the Pakistani army and navy, attended the event.
Ambassador Nong Rong congratulated the successful completion of the project and thanked the Chinese and Pakistani employees and relevant departments of Pakistan. The project, which took 20 months and cost tens of millions of US dollars, is the first completed corridor social livelihood project in Gwadar. The vocational and technical school can train more than 1,000 skilled people every year, providing a huge boost to the development of Gwadar and Baluchistan province. China and Pakistan will take the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties as an opportunity to further advance the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and build an even closer China-Pakistan community of shared future.
Chairman of the Gwadar Port Authority Kashani thanked the Chinese government and people for their gift to Gwadar, and expressing warm congratulations on the completion of the project on scheduled, he expressed the hope to continue to strengthen cooperation with China in human resources development, port operation and industrial development and push for further economic and social development of Gwadar.
