1) Estimated time to obtain Taiwan ID

Residence Approval: You can obtain a Taiwan ID card after one year of residence, so it takes about 1.5 to 2 years from the time you apply to the ID card (it needs to continue to operate for three years, if it fails to meet the standard, your ID card may be cancelled later)

2) Matters needing attention in taxation for overseas assets!

Real estate tax is divided into income tax (rent and capital gains from disposal) and inheritance tax to illustrate. For example, if you stay in Taiwan for more than 183 days a year, you are a Taiwan tax resident. Taxes are imposed on global income, but overseas income can be deducted by 6.7 million Taiwan dollars. Therefore, if the annual income from overseas is less than 6.7 million, there will be no increase in taxes
