Important Notice! The Chinese Embassy in Ireland announces the recent visa process conditions
The full text of the notice is as follows:
1. In order to gradually and orderly resume exchanges between Chinese and foreign personnel, the Chinese Embassy in Ireland currently accepts ordinary visa applications under the following circumstances:
A. Citizens of 36 European countries (list attached) who hold valid Chinese residence permits for work, private affairs and reunion (the form is attached);
B. applicants and accompanying spouses and minor children with an invitation letter ("Letter of Invitation (PU)", "Letter of Invitation (TE)" or "Invitation Verification Form") from the foreign affairs office or commerce department of the provincial government, for working or doing business in trade, technology, cultural, educational, sports activities ;
C. Those who need to go to China for the following humanitarian reasons:
a) Those who visit immediate family members who are critically ill (parents, spouses, children, grandparents, grandchildren) or deal with the funeral of the immediate family members. They must provide a hospital certificate or a death certificate and a certificate of family relationship (including birth certificates, Marriage certificate, household registration register, police station issued relative certificate letter, relative relationship notarized certificate) photocopy and domestic relative invitation letter;
b) If the foreign spouse and minor children of a Chinese citizen (or a foreign citizen holding a Chinese permanent residence permit) need to go to China for reunion, they must provide an invitation letter issued by the Chinese citizen (or a foreign citizen holding a Chinese permanent residence permit), a photocopy of the inviter's Chinese ID card or China permanent residence permit, and a photocopy of the family relationship certificate (including birth certificate, marriage certificate, household registration register, police station family certificate letter, and family relationship notarization);
c) Foreign children, spouses and minor children who is going to China to take care or support of Chinese parents. An invitation letter issued by the Chinese citizen, a copy of the inviter’s Chinese ID card and proof of family relations (including birth certificates, marriage certificates, and household registration books) , a photocopy of the police station's relative certificate letter and relative relationship certificate.
D. Apply for a C visa (crew-members).
2. The above applicants need to fill in the form online through the "Chinese Visa Online Form Filling" system (https://cova.cs.mfa.gov.cn) and through the "Chinese Visa Application Online Appointment" system (https://avas.cs.mfa.gov.cn) making an appointment. Then submit the application at the Embassy Hall (118 Merrion Road, Dublin 4) at the appointed time. Minors under the age of 14 do not need to be present in person.
3. Other types of visa applications will not be processed temporarily.
4. The above adjustment is a temporary measure. If there is any change, the embassy will issue the new notice in time. Your understanding and cooperation is much appreciated.
