Faisal Mosque
The landmark building of Islamabad, the National Mosque of Pakistan, is the largest mosque in Pakistan and even in South Asia and the sixth mosque in the world. It was donated by the former King of Saudi Arabia Faisal and designed by the famous Turkish designer Darokai as a gift to the people of Pakistan. After the death of King Faisal, the mosque was named in his honor.
It is located near the International Islamic University of Pakistan, west of the capital Islamabad. Its unique shape, magnificent, with a strong Islamic cultural characteristics, the whole complex is composed of worship hall, minarets, courtyard square, corridor, etc., the shape of the general white marble construction, with Mosaic decoration, from the mid-level park down can clearly see the white roof and 4 tower columns. The hall and courtyard, which can hold up to 100,000 pilgrims, and is a solemn gem of the Islamic country.
