Mohenjo Daro

The archaeological site of Mohenjo Daro is located in Sindh Province of Pakistan, 20 km south of Larkana county and about 500 km from Karachi. It is a famous tourist destination in Pakistan. Archaeologist Banerjee discovered the site of the city, which was built about 4,500 years ago, in the dunes of the Indus River in 1921 and 1922.
Mohenjo-daro is one of the early ancient cities in the world, known as the "capital of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization", which included ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, China and Crete. Mohenjo-daro is believed to have been an urban civilization created by the Dravidians (short black people) before the white Aryan invasion of ancient India. The Mohenjo Daro archaeological site is located in Larkana District, Sindh province, southern Pakistan, near the right bank of the Indus River. The first civilizations in the region that is now Pakistan developed in the fertile Indus Valley. By about 2500 BC, there were larger cities, one of which was Mohenjo Daro.
Folding a "Buried Ancient City"
Mohenjo Daro, also known as the “Mound of the Dead”, is an important city of the Indus Valley civilization, it was founded around 2600 BC, located in Sindh province of Pakistan, 20 km south of Larkana town and about 500 km from Karachi. Mohenjo Daro is an early ancient city in the world, known as the "capital of the ancient Indus Valley Civilization", which included ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia and Crete.
However, such an early ancient city has disappeared in the long history. The Archaeological Survey of India, conducted between 1921 and 1922 by archaeologist Rakhaldas Bandyopadhyay, under the leadership of a monk, some "strange prehistoric relics" have been found in the sand dunes of the Indus River Trunk. It was only after further excavations that the "buried city", built around 4,500 years ago, became known. It is believed that Mohenjoo Daro was built around 2600 BC and abandoned around 1900 BC.
